At Maga Basketball Camps, our mission is to provide a complete, in-depth basketball experience emphasizing fundamentals in order to help boys and girls ages 9-17 reach their full potential.
All levels are welcome - we offer a variety of formats and always group players by age and ability within each camp to ensure enriching competition.
Whether you are just starting out or aspire to play at the high school or the varsity level and beyond, you will discover that Maga Basketball Camps are a great place to improve your skills, push yourself to new heights and to compete against other quality players.

Coach Maga - Camp Director

Steve Maga presently teaches mathematics and physical education at Bishop Tonnos Catholic High School in Ancaster, Ontario. He coaches both the Junior Girls Basketball (2005 Champions) and the Senior Boys Basketball Teams.
Coach Maga's experience includes playing at virtually every level of basketball in Canada including the Men's National Team program coupled with the following coaching experiences:

Amazing Week @ The Guard Post Camp

Over the week all athletes prepared for the upcoming school season working very hard all week long.
An Instructional week of camp filled with competition and skill development. We focused both on full court games as well as half court games concentrating on finding ways to get the ball into the post and how to play off of those types of offensive movements.
We Welcomed the addition of 35 year veteran Jack Maga who served as Co-Director of the Camp. He brought years of experience but most of all a youthful spirit to the campers day as he made a huge impact.
We look forward to having him back next camp.

Shooting Success!!

The Shooting Camp was SOLD OUT again this year and was a TREMENDOUS week of basketball fundamentals and competition!
THE CLASSROOM VIDEO SHOOTING ANALYSIS, THE SHOOTING STRAPS and THE RIM REDUCER helped campers focus on their shooting form.
We look forward to seeing as many campers as possible throughout the year at the many basketball events that go on throughout the province. Hope to see you all back next year and keep checking back to the website for later dates

Club Clinic or Workout Series - Dates Available

Our team is available to come out and provide a clinic series focused on individual, club or team needs.
Our team has worked with the entire Haldimand Huskies basketball club including a clinic series with each age group and rep team. We have also worked with rep teams from Ancaster Magic, Blessed Sacrament as well as Fonthill and St. Michael's Elementary House League Program. Hope to work with your club or team soon!
